Compost tea is very good for the garden, offering nutrients and beneficial bacteria and micro organisms.

The general guideline is 32 litres of compost or manure per large garbage can of water. Let it steep for a few days and then apply to plants. I have seen bags simply poked and set into the garbage can or burlap used to make a large "tea bag".
