Make a Red-Hot Wreath

Here's a hot idea!

Tie four or five red or green chilies together to make bundles and then attach to a 25-cm (10-inch) wire frame covered with evergreen foliage.

This is a long-lasting wreath - in fact it gets more interesting as the chilies age and dry.

It's advisable to use gloves when making this wreath so no chili residue remains on your hands. Even a speck can be very painful if you inadvertently touch your eye. And it's best placed out of the reach of children who may touch the chilies, then touch their eyes or mouths.

These restrictions aside, it makes for an unusual decoration and is a real conversation starter at dinner parties.
