Euphorbias in the border

Spring flowering euphorbias are my favourites for an early splash of colour in the garden.

Euphorbia myrsinites a.k.a. 'donkey splurge' (above)

Euphorbia dulcis 'Chameleon' (above)

They establish readily, are drought tolerant and provide a long show in interest. They happily thrive alongside cultivars of lavender, cistus, hebe, verbascum, helianthemum, romneya, echium, phormium, phlomis and eryngium – all great examples of drought tolerant plants.
