Is it okay to put bindweed pieces with or without flowers in the compost, as long as there are no roots or seeds?
Carolyn Jones, GardenWise horticulturistBindweed can root at each node (where the leaves come out from the stems) so I would only compost it if you are an expert composter, able to get the compost pile really cooking! That way all parts of the bindweed are sure to die and decompose.
